The Guilds of the Aurum Solis are a very old custom of the Order. They are inner groups of the Order gathering initiate members who are specialized in a field of the Tradition (i.e. Philosophy, Divination, Alchemy, Ancient Mysteries of a specific Divinity, Renaissance Magic, etc.). Some of these guilds are still dormant, others active.

These members are researching, experimenting, and working under the supervision of the Collegium Cathedrarum of the Order. Membership of the Guild is not granted to every initiate. Specific requirements ought to be met to be part of the Guilds. The Guilds’ work can be associated to the initiatory cursus of the Order, but does not replace it.

Sometimes outer Guilds, open to non-initiates, can be placed under the protection of the Aurum Solis. This is, for example, the case of the “Hermetic Chain Guild.”
