Every member of Aurum Solis must undergo a period of preparation prior to initiation. This period of  Initiatic Training is called "PRONAOS." This is the preparation you must undergo prior to initiation in our Order. The duration of Pronaos is approximately 9 months and it precedes initiation into the First Hall (1^st Degree) of the Ordo Aurum Solis.

Note :The duration of this process is given as an average and may be shorter. You can also participate in Pronaos Training Seminar that are provided in Las Vegas, or in your area.

DESCRIPTION

Pronaos is composed of two aspects:

A- Individual studies/rituals and online activities.

B- Pronaos Groups (These groups are open to those who live near a House of the Order where they may participate with other members of the Order in group activities. It is also to open a new Pronaos group in countries where Pronaos students are working).

1- Individual Studies/ Rituals

As a Pronaos student you will have access to the Private Pronaos Website immediately  after completing your membership online.
This list includes: (This list is not exhaustive and new items are included every single day)

1- A very complete and gradual system of ritual practices

2- Teachings about the Hermetic/Ogdoadic Tradition
3- Philosophical studies

4- Fundamentals of Theurgy

5- Private blogs from the Officers of the Order

6- You will have access to the private part of the website and you may post your comments at the bottom of the lessons. Feel free to share the results of your meditations, feedback, etc.

You will also find a place to engage in discussions and to ask questions related to the practical exercises and any issues that develop with what you are learning. 

7- Every few months you will have the opportunity to chat online (live audio) with Grand Officers of the Order. It will be a good opportunity to share your understanding and to ask your questions. Don’t miss this opportunity. The calendar for these sessions will be provided on the same private part of the Website.

8- Access to local Pronaos Groups.

About the rituals: The rituals must conform to a precise sequence and some of these practices are connected with the lunar and solar cycles. The practices should be performed at home. At the end of the Pronaos, you must send a report to the Grand Chancellor.

You are apprised of upcoming training sessions, which are provided online in the Pronaos area by Officers of the Order or in special meetings of the Order.

B- Pronaos Group Sessions :

If you live close to a "House" of the Order, you will be invited to participate in Pronaos group practices with other students. These events provide you  with opportunities to get feedback on your individual progress, as well as giving you a chance to ask questions about our Tradtion.

If you don't live close to a "House," you will be able to post questions on the Private part of the website, and indicate your interest in opening a Pronaos group in your area. Other students will be able to contact you through the website, and, with the agreement of the General Administrator, you will receive the special Pronaos Group rituals.

Remember that you will also be able also to have access to the online meetings with the Officers of the Order.

THE GOAL

No candidate can be initiated without training in the fundamentals. Our initiation is a powerful Theurgic process, warranting due diligence and respect. You must weigh your decision carefully. More than this, you must have a preliminary knowledge of our Tradition, so that you will know whether or not you agree with our values, purpose and way of life. The ritual practices of the Pronaos are also used to purify you and put you in contact with our Egregore. At the same time, this period allows the Order to see whether or not you have a real desire to be part of our Order.

Students sometimes have the misconception that the authorization for initiation is automatic, or that the initiation can be performed on the astral plane. It must be very clearly understood that those ideas are wrong. It is necessary for everyone  to receive proper training in the fundamentals and inner spiritual work of our Order, and it is equally necessary for you  to prove your value to the Order. The Pronaos was developed to provide that training and to assess your sincerity and readiness to be a member of our Order.
