THE PRONAOS of AURUM SOLIS

If you look at the page entitled Initiatory Structure you will find the term "PRONAOS" which refers to the preparatory circle of Ordo Aurum Solis. AURUM SOLIS is a Theurgic Order, heir to the ancient Traditions of the Hermetic Mysteries.

Every member of Aurum Solis must undergo a period of preparation before initiation. This period of preparation takes place in the PRONAOS. During this training, you (as a Pronaos Members) receive a specific series of private lessons designed to prepare you for initiation; you will have to information regarding special activities and restricted documents that are non available to non-members.

One you are accepted as a Pronaos member, you can immediately  enroll in Pronaos Training Serminars, where you will start receiving direct teaching (practice, theory, and history). this teaching will enable you to open your own House of the Order (They are special requirements for that). INITIATIC TRAINING

"INITIATIC TRAINING" is the preparation you must undergo prior to initiation in our Order. (You will be admitted as a member of the Pronaos, only after we approve you application.) The duration of Pronaos is approximately 9 months and precedes initiation into the First Hall (1^st Degree) of our Order.
Note: The duration of this process is considerably shortened when you enroll in and successfully complete the Pronaos Training Seminar.

DESCRIPTION

Pronaos has two aspects:

1- Individual studies/rituals.

2- Group studies/rituals (This is open to those who live near a House of the Order where they may participate with other members of the Order in group activities).

1- Individual Studies/ Rituals

Each Pronaos student receives various documents from us by email. These documents include:

- rituals and practices

- philosophical and theological studies

- studies of symbolism

- Fundamentals of Magical Qabalah

Every Pronaos student will be supervised by the Grand Chancellor of the Order (or an initiate she delegates for you). The rituals and practices must conform to a precise sequence and some of these practices are connected to the lunar and solar cycles. The practices are performed at home. The student sends a report to the Grand Chancellor (or to his/her assigned supervisor) after every lesson. The next lesson is sent only after the supervisor validates the report.

Once the student has completed the Pronaos, the supervisor will send him/her a list of questions regarding his/her apprenticeship. Each student are elligible to receive private information, as well as updates. Students are apprised of upcoming training sessions, which are provided online in the Pronaos area by Officers of the Order or in special meetings of the Order.

2- Group Sessions :

If a student lives close to a "House" of the Order, his supervisor will regularly invite him/her to participate in group practices with other students. These events provide the student with opportunities to get feedback on his/her individual progress, as well as giving each student a chance to ask questions about the Tradtion.

THE GOAL

No candidate can be initiated without training in the fundamentals. Our initiation is a powerful Theurgic process, warranting due diligence and respect. The student must weigh his/her decision carefully. More than this, the student must have a preliminary knowledge of our Tradition, so that he/she will know whether or not he/she agrees with our values, purpose and way of life. The ritual practices of the Pronaos are also used to purify the candidate and put him/her in contact with our Egregore. At the same time, this period allows us to see whether or not the candidate has a real desire to be part of our Order.

Students sometimes have the misconception that the authorization for initiation is automatic, or that the initiation can be performed on the astral plane. It must be clearly understood that those ideas are wrong. It is necessary for every student to receive proper training in the fundamentals and inner spiritual work of our Order, and it is equally necessary for the student to prove his/her value to the Order. The Pronaos was developed to provide that training and to assess the sincerity and readiness of the candidate to be a member of our Order.

FEES

The fees for these Pronaos studies are different regarding your country of residence. You will be able to pay these fees after the agreement of your application.

Zone 1 (USA - Canada - Europe - (France et Dom Tom) - Australia - New Zealand - Japan): $90

Zone 2 (other countries not listed in the zone1): $80

WHEN ACCEPTED...

When you will be accepted and the fees paid, you will receive by Internet different documents with the first lesson of the Initiatic Training. These documents will explain you more precisely the initiatic process. Your member card you will receive by Postal Mail, give you the opportunity to attend various private activities (Platonic banquet, Planetary rituals, conferences, lectures, seminars, receptions honoring dignitaries, participate to the "Hermes gathering" on Wednesday evenings in your area, etc.). You will have the privilege of being give advance notice of the activities of the Order, as well as being among the groups placed unders its protection. You will also receive by postal mail a tool consecrated for you which allows you to be a real part of our magical chain and to validate your practice of the rites of the Initiatic Training.
